The Kasten 21 is the microphone and headphone connection box for the Panther's commander. The headphone jack has two pins, one for the signal and one to ground. The microphone jack has three pins: one for the signal, one to ground, and one to switch on 12 Volts to the relay in the Kasten 20, that connects the commander to the radio operator and the radio station.
